Before blasting a heightened culinary competition among MoU-signing schools with Dusit Thani College, Dusit Thani College has brought more than 100 students from 16 teams among 12 participating schools in DTC Young Chef Challenge 2023 to the workshop run by DTC instructors and professional chefs in the industry in order to strengthen their skills before the competition on this upcoming 22 July, 2023.

Dusit Thani College, a leading higher educational institute in hospitality business under Dusit International, signed an MoU with five 5-star hotels, including Capella Hotel, IHG Hotel Group, Park Hyatt Hotel, Skyview Hotel, and Sri Panwa Hotel Group at Dusit Thani College, Bangkok.

STARTUP THAILAND LEAGUE 2023, recently held by National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), opens a room for students with technological and innovative ideas all over the country to blast their creativity and compete for awards. Department of Student Affairs at Dusit Thani College, the first and the only higher education in Thailand which specializes in hospitality businesses under Dusit International, has recently set up a little party called “Spring of Mahogany #24”. The impressive celebration was intended for graduating students who are ‘the batch of Mahogany’, named after the college’s symbol tree. With delicate cultivation, shaping, and nutrition, the batch of Mahogany blossoms and spreads its branches, then becomes a shady tree. Likewise, the graduates of Dusit Thani College are provided with knowledge and practices which create skilled workers with high quality and contribution to hospitality businesses.

Students of MBA program’s Gastronomy Business Management Concentration at Dusit Thani College has recently organized ‘Samut Prakan. the city of ocean wall’ Chef’s Table at Mahogany Restaurant. This activity was created by Dusit Thani College’s MBA students to implement knowledge from Service Marketing class into a Chef’s Table experience.

Dusit Thani College, the first higher education institute in Thailand devoting to giving knowledge and specialty in tourism and hospitality industry under Dusit International, was honored to have 9 students give English speeches in ‘Bang Bang Session’ this year, which has been the third year of the college. The students are the representatives of each bachelor program in the college e.g. Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management Program, Hotel Management Program, Tourism Service Innovation Program, Professional Culinary Arts Program (International Program), and Hospitality Management Program (International Program). They expressed their inspirations how they stepped into this industry.

Mr. Palakorn Suwanrath (6th from the left), Privy Councillor, as the president of this ceremony. DTC Young Ambassadors (DTCYA) are the representatives of Dusit Thani College, a higher educational institute in hotel management, culinary arts, and hospitality under Dusit International, to participate in activities as well as welcome guests to a college tour, so their personalities play an important part in building first impression among people. DTC Fund Club of Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading private institute of higher education in hospitality business under Dusit International, launched an activity under the project “Doing good for Humanity” of Foundation for Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) and received a warm welcome and facilitation from Khun Julie Sumalee, Executive Director of the foundation, at Wat Maha Wong community daycare center for pre-school children, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan.

Foundation for Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) is a non-profit organization which rescues underprivileged children, family, and those in needs without racial and religious barriers. The foundation holds on to the principle of doing good deeds, being honest to donors, providing services with sincerity, and managing work with high quality. This foundation adopts educationally underprivileged children from kindergarten to grade 2 before sending to nearby schools for fundamental education.

DTC international program students from Professional Culinary Arts program (jointed with Le Cordon Bleu Institute) and Hospitality Management program (certified by Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne) had an opportunity to make a good merit to the society by utilizing the knowledge of culinary arts and hospitality for activity design which benefited underprivileged children in a foundation in Nakhon Pathom.
