Department of Student Affairs at Dusit Thani College, the first and the only higher education in Thailand which specializes in hospitality businesses under Dusit International, has recently set up a little party called “Spring of Mahogany #24”. The impressive celebration was intended for graduating students who are ‘the batch of Mahogany’, named after the college’s symbol tree. With delicate cultivation, shaping, and nutrition, the batch of Mahogany blossoms and spreads its branches, then becomes a shady tree. Likewise, the graduates of Dusit Thani College are provided with knowledge and practices which create skilled workers with high quality and contribution to hospitality businesses. 

The event was held at Srinakarin Hall, Dusit Thani College Bangkok, resembling the concept of Prom Night with a twist into a Korean theme to combine western with eastern style. The vivid party also instills the idea of internationalization in the participants with cocktail-style Korean cuisine made by Dusit Thani College’s alumni as well as spectacular shows and concerts. There were awards for the party’s King, Queen, and Drag Queen whose outfits stood out. Among all entertainments, the core intent of this event is to open an opportunity for students to express their gratitude towards their devoted instructors.  

Dusit Thani College believes all batches of Mahogany will become the seeds that grow and expand the forest of Mahogany to flourish hospitality industry in the future.
