Recently, Dusit Thani College’s Digital Learning and Information Technology (DLIT) management team were invited as special guests to a tour, meetings and discussions with Huawei Technologies Thailand and True Corporation. Led by Khun Zeph Norrish, Executive Director of DLIT, Khun Noppasit Rangsricharoenchai, Director of IT and Khun Sarawin Chinnawong, Senior Manager of Digital Learning, the group discussed the potential opportunities for collaboration with Khun Lin Zhiling, Vice President of Huawei Thailand, Khun Prayuth Tungsangob, Chief Technology Officer of Huawei Thailand and Khun Nuttawut Thepauyporn, Senior Account Executive, Education of True Corporation.
The discussions centered around advancements in digital and other technologies which can potentially support Dusit Thani College’s digital transformation strategy. The team enjoyed the opportunity to explore the latest developments in smart classroom technology such as hybrid and collaborative learning spaces, smart campus management systems which enable greater efficiencies and much improved safety and security on campus, as well as various examples of the use of A.I., Internet of Things enabled devices, WiFi 6G, cloud computing solutions, etc., in improving the end user experience, lifestyle and wellbeing.
The Digital Learning and Information Technology of Dusit Thani College team will be commencing a number of project Proof of Concepts together with Huawei and True in order to continue to develop and enhance the range and quality of digital learning materials, tools and applications that Dusit Thani College uses to achieve its strategic goals of excellence in hospitality and culinary education, outstanding learner experiences and substantial regional impact. Students enrolled on the new program of Dusit Thani Hospitality Academy (DHA) will visit the prestigious Huawei OpenLab and exhibition center as part of their ‘A Digital World’ course, for an interactive workshop to delve into the latest technological advancements, supporting Thailand’s hospitality industry.
