DTC Fund Club of Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading private institute of higher education in hospitality business under Dusit International, launched an activity under the project “Doing good for Humanity” of Foundation for Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) and received a warm welcome and facilitation from Khun Julie Sumalee, Executive Director of the foundation, at Wat Maha Wong community daycare center for pre-school children, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan.
Foundation for Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) is a non-profit organization which rescues underprivileged children, family, and those in needs without racial and religious barriers. The foundation holds on to the principle of doing good deeds, being honest to donors, providing services with sincerity, and managing work with high quality. This foundation adopts educationally underprivileged children from kindergarten to grade 2 before sending to nearby schools for fundamental education.
Dusit Thani College arranged an activity in the project “Doing good for Humanity” by the representatives of fund students including Mr. Muzamil Majeed, Vice President of DTC Culinary Club, Mr. Siri Mongkon, Ms. Pornpimol Somtid, Ms. Laksika Sartphakdee, Mr. Putthiporn Lewis Saunders, Mr. Saharat Sawatjoo, and Mr. Pavarit Chotisin together with sponsors from Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank Thailand). The bank proposed 2 menus, chicken fried rice and speghetti with pork sauce, while the students prepared ingredients and cooked themselves.
Mr. Muzamil Majeed said, “We were complimented on food a lot and received smiles from children and everyone. That made us happy and feel tireless. We were sponsored by EXIM Thailand Foundation and our instructors as well as our friends who make this activity happen with effectiveness. Last of all, we would like to thank all stakeholders for giving this sharing opportunity to DTC students and hope that we can join another activity next year.”
Dusit Thani College is determined to taking more actions to benefit communities and the society. There are more upcoming projects to continuously pass on good deeds to communities and the society.
