Dusit Thani College signs MoUs with 5 top organizations to enhance student development for future career

31 March 2025

On March 27, 2025, Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading higher education specialized in hospitality business under Dusit International, hosted Hospitality Talent Fair 2025 for job seekers and recruiters in the tourism and hospitality industry at Dusit Thani College Bangkok. This is the 4th consecutive year of the event.

On this occasion, there was an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony which Dusit Thani College multilaterally conducted with 5 top organizations in the hospitality industry. The partnered organizations included Marriott International, Coffee World and PT, Rosewood Bangkok, The Standard International, and Topgolf Megacity.

This agreement was made in line with Dusit Thani College’s educational goals, which aim to create quality people to enter various businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry, including but not limited to hotels and restaurants. The agreement covers sending students to intern at the partners’ premises, exchanging knowledge and experiences, as well as seeking other opportunities to cooperate in other dimensions.

Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, stated in the MoU signing ceremony that “Throughout the period since Dusit Thani College was established more than 30 years ago, our founder was determined to bring Thai Hospitality to the eyes of the world and shine bright among the tourism and hospitality industry both in Thailand and internationally. However, we have encountered challenges in terms of entering quality personnel into the industry. Especially since Thailand launched a tourism campaign nearly 30 years ago, the challenge of training people into the world of work has increased. To build up the right people for the needs of the industry, we believe that there must also be the cooperations among business sectors to help nurture our students. Therefore, Dusit Thani College would like to thank all establishments that joined our signing ceremony today since they are a huge part to develop our students for becoming great professionals in the future.”

This signing ceremony is another reflection of the efforts and commitment between the education sector and the private sector in developing the hospitality industry to a better future.

Dusit Thani College is proud to announce that its students have once again placed among the top three at the ALLiance Sustainability in Hospitality Contest, organized by The Alliance Network in partnership with Relais & Châteaux — marking the second consecutive year the College has reached the podium in this international competition. In the 2026 edition, Ms. Purimprat Pradit, Ms. Isabella Marissa Stacy, and Mr. Pokin Puntu, first-year students from the International Hospitality Management and Professional Culinary Arts International programs — secured 2nd Runner-Up with Nai Mõng – Real Taste from the Countryside, a premium family dining concept rooted in the culinary traditions of Phatthalung, Southern Thailand. The project reimagines authentic Southern Thai cuisine through sustainably sourced, seasonal ingredients and a modern interpretation of local culinary heritage, inviting guests to experience sustainability not as a compromise but as part of an immersive, memorable dining journey. As 2nd Runner-Up, competing in their very first international competition, the team received a €200 voucher courtesy of Relais & Châteaux, an official certificate of achievement, and the opportunity to present their concept to the Relais & Châteaux CSR team. This year's result builds on a strong showing in 2025, when Dusit Thani College swept both 1st place (SHINRAI, a zero-waste culinary concept blending Japanese technique with Thai ingredients) and 2nd place (Re-leaf, a regenerative eco-wellness farm stay concept) in the contest's inaugural edition, triumphing over competitors from all 22 member countries of The Alliance Network at the time. The ALLiance Sustainability in Hospitality Contest challenges Hospitality and Culinary Arts students from Alliance member institutions — spanning more than 20 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa — to design innovative concepts that turn sustainability into an engaging, rewarding guest experience across its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, judged by a panel of industry professionals and sustainability experts. Two years running, students from Dusit Thani College's international program have proven that Thai culinary talent and sustainable thinking can consistently stand out on a global stage.
