Dusit Thani College, a leading private higher educational institute in hospitality industry under Dusit International, would like to congratulate Mr. Puripat Wuttipattananon or “Pu” – a student from Dusit Thani College’s Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management Program – on being the only representative of Thailand in WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition for Cooking program in Lucerne city of Switzerland under the supervision of Chef Jatuporn Juengmeesuk and winning Medallion for Excellence – an award for competitors whose scores pass the high criteria of the competition. Those who receive this medallion are considered having exceptional talents that meet the standards of the global stage.
Thailand’s Minister of Labor praised 2 Thai youth competitors for winning Medallion for Excellence from 2 fields which were Cooking and Restaurant Service. Mr. Puripat Wuttipattananon participated in Cooking program and made reputation for Thailand in the 46th WorldSkills Competition by performing his culinary skills among participants from 31 countries. The result of this competition was phenomenal as there were 3 countries receiving gold medals together including Canada, Portugal, and France. For Restaurant Service program, Ms. Jutharat Boonnak was the competitor among 21 countries. The winner of gold medal was France while Taiwan received silver medal and the host country Switzerland got bronze medal.
Dusit Thani College is ready to support and encourage students for joining all ranges of competitions such as cooking, dessert making, flower arrangement, and food and beverage services both in national and international levels. The college has been promoting internationalization and participating in many competitions so far to “make professions by professionals”, giving students the first step to be professionally successful in the future.
