Dusit Thani College, a leading institution under Dusit Thani Hotel Group, reaffirmed its position as a premier school of culinary arts by sending students to compete in multiple international competitions throughout March 2026. The students delivered outstanding performances, consistently winning awards across all stages.
The journey began with the 18th ICF Culinary Art India Competition 2026, held in New Delhi, India from March 10–14. Three Dusit Thani College students participated and each secured awards:
· Mr. Kantapong Khamponkaew won a Gold Medal with the highest score and the Excellence Award Trophy in the Dessert Category of the Plant-Based Culinary Competition, another Gold Medal in the Rice Live Cooking Competition (45 minutes), and a Silver Medal in the Egg Benedict Live Cooking (30 minutes).
· Mr. Bunnithi Kahawong earned a Gold Medal with the highest score and the Excellence Award Trophy in the Live Cooking Competition (Students/Apprentice), plus a Silver Medal in the Egg Benedict Live Cooking (30 minutes).
· Mr. Patiphon Lertsurakitti achieved a Gold Medal in the Live Cooking Competition (Students/Apprentice) and a Silver Medal in the Rice Live Cooking Competition (45 minutes).
Next was the Vietnam Culinary Challenge 2026, a WACS-certified national-level competition held from March 24–26 in Vietnam. Seventeen Dusit Thani College culinary students entered 49 categories and achieved remarkable success:
· 6 Best Awards, including Best Establishment Award, Best Food Safety and Hygiene, Best of Potatoes USA, Best of Alaska Seafood: Main Course, Best of US Chicken, and Best of California Raisins. (Best Awards signify the highest-scoring Gold Medal in each category.)
· In addition, they won 8 Gold Medals, 18 Silver Medals, 20 Bronze Medals, and 3 Certificates of Merit.
The month concluded with a proud victory at the RISING STAR: Asia Best Young Chef’s Team Championship, held in Shanghai, China from March 30–31. The Dusit Thani College team — Mr. Nakarin Jaroonpunvanich, Mr. Thanakon Chuangrattanawan, and Nuttanicha Tiyaparunchai — won the highest-scoring Gold Medal and the Champion Trophy. This competition featured 16 teams, including 10 from China and 6 from Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan. It was the first time Dusit Thani College entered a three-member team format, and they proudly claimed the championship. The college received support from Anchor Panfood and Nordsways footwear.
The collective success across these three international competitions in a single month reflects the exceptional potential of Dusit Thani College students to become world-class professional chefs, bringing pride to Thailand on the global stage.
