June 8, 2026, marked a moment of great pride and joy for the faculty members and staff of Dusit Thani College, who have worked together to drive and advance the institution through 33 remarkable years. As Thailand’s first higher education institution dedicated exclusively to hospitality education, the College has remained one of the country’s leading hospitality institutions since its establishment on June 1, 1993.
The anniversary celebration commenced with a worship ceremony at the Ganesha Shrine, deeply revered by the Dusit Thani College community, led by Dr. Atthawet Pruegstaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, together with the management team and distinguished guests from Dusit Thani Group. The ceremony continued with paying respects at the Brahma Shrine and the ancestral shrine at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel, followed by a tribute to the statue of Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, founder of both Dusit Thani College and Dusit Thani Group, in recognition of the visionary contributions toward Thai education and the hospitality industry. The morning concluded with a merit-making ceremony and offerings to Buddhist monks for auspicious blessings.
The celebration at Srinakarin Hall then began with a royal decoration presentation ceremony before the royal portrait, followed by the presentation of Outstanding Researcher Awards and long-service awards honoring faculty members and staff who have dedicated 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service to the College. The event also included Recognition Awards, awards for participants in the “Green Mind, Healthy Heart” campaign with the highest accumulated step counts, recognition for environmental sustainability activities, as well as an Islamic religious ceremony.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note with everyone gathering to enjoy an assortment of desserts and singing “Happy Birthday” together, united in their commitment to guiding Dusit Thani College gracefully and sustainably into its 34th year and beyond.
