From 19-22 October 2026, Ms. Thamika Kootrisukon and Ms. May Myat Noe Khin, students from the Hospitality Management Program (International Program) of Dusit Thani College, participated as Student Ambassadors at the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) 2026, held at Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore. The opportunity provided them with valuable experiential learning beyond the classroom while gaining firsthand exposure to the global hospitality industry.
HICAP is a prominent hospitality investment conference that brings together hotel owners, investors, developers, and industry leaders from around the world to exchange insights, explore emerging trends, and discuss the future of the hospitality industry.
Through the HICAP Student Ambassadors Program, both students gained valuable hands-on experience by supporting various conference activities, including registration, mainstage sessions, and breakout sessions. Beyond their responsibilities, they also had opportunities to attend conference sessions, engage with hospitality professionals, and participate in a dedicated student session featuring industry leaders.
The experience provided valuable exposure to the global hospitality investment landscape, allowing the students to broaden their perspectives beyond traditional hotel operations while strengthening their professional communication, teamwork, and networking skills.
Reflecting on her experience, Ms. Thamika Kootrisukon shared:
“Being a Student Ambassador at HICAP 2026 in Singapore was a truly valuable and memorable experience. It gave me the opportunity to learn more about the hotel investment industry beyond hotel operations, connect with hospitality professionals from around the world, and gain new perspectives on the industry. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I hope to apply what I’ve learned to my future career in hospitality.”
Similarly, Ms. May Myat Noe Khin expressed:
“It was a meaningful experience that broadened my understanding of hospitality investment, allowed me to learn from industry professionals, and gave me the opportunity to build lasting connections with fellow students who share the same passion for hospitality.”
The Faculty of Hospitality Management at Dusit Thani College remains committed to providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities that bridge academic knowledge with real-world industry practices.
