Dusit Thani College signed an MOU with the World Tourism Forum Lucerne, becoming an academic partner of the Forum and their Young Talent Program!

The World Tourism Forum Lucerne recently held its “Moving Forward” Innovation Festival in Andermatt, Switzerland, gathering the hospitality industry’s leading speakers and panelists to discuss how tourism can move forward in a more sustainable and innovative manner, in light of a difficult pandemic-filled 18 months. An additional highlight of the Forum involved Dusit Thani College signing a memorandum of understand with the Forum to become a member of their academic network.

One of the principle focuses of the Forum is the future of the hospitality industry, with the belief that discussions about the future cannot take place without including the talent that will drive that future. The Forum’s key initiative, the Young Talent Program, aims to connect top university talents from around the world with CEO’s and leaders in the hospitality industry to foster inter-generational learning and facilitate the retention and development of top talent in the hospitality industry. Dusit Thani College is proud to be able to offer their students an opportunity to access this impactful and influential network, allowing them to learn from industry leaders and like-minded peers from across the globe.

The academic network also fosters collaboration between institutions through joint research initiatives and institutional networking. In addition, it includes schools from 6 continents across the globe, notably the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland; Mahidol University, Thailand; Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong; Taylor’s University, Malaysia; University of Queensland, Australia; University of Johannesburg, South Africa; University of Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Perdue University in the USA.
