Recently, Ms. May Myat Noe Khin, a student of Hospitality Management International Programme of Dusit Thani College, was selected to join the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) as a Marketing Intern. She chose to undertake the three-month internship to gain valuable professional experience. This internship is independent of the internship hours required under the International Hospitality Management (IHM) curriculum.
Ms. May Myat Noe Khin shared that she decided to apply for the PATA internship because of her strong interest in marketing and her desire to seize the opportunity to gain practical experience while working with an internationally recognized tourism organization.
The PATA Internship Programme has long been offered alongside the PATA Youth initiative, providing students with the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience with PATA throughout each quarter of the year. The programme aims to nurture and develop the next generation of professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry.
The internship attracts students from a wide range of universities in both Thailand and overseas. This intake includes students from Bangkok University, Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Hong Kong Metropolitan University.
This marks the first time that a student from Dusit Thani College has been selected to participate in the PATA Internship Programme. Undertaking this internship represents a special opportunity for the student to learn and gain valuable experience from an internationally recognized organization. Dusit Thani College sincerely expects that Ms. May Myat Noe Khin’s achievement will inspire her fellow students and that she will share the valuable experiences and insights she gains throughout her internship with future generations of Dusit Thani College students.
