Tourism Service Innovation Program, Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading educational institution for tourism and hospitality under Dusit International, has lately signed an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thai Ecotourism And Adventure Travel Association (TEATA).
In the signing ceremony, Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, together with Dr. Praweena Kasai, Vice Rector of Student Affairs, Mr. Simon Lloyd, Dean of Hospitality Management Program, Mr. Somphob Chatawanich, Director of Tourism Service Innovation Program, Dr. Yaowaporn Lertkultanon, Instructor of Tourism Service Innovation Program, and Mrs. Maneewan Chatawanich, Academic Secretary of Tourism Service Innovation Program, represented Dusit Thani College to sign an MoU and welcomed representatives from Thai Ecotourism And Adventure Travel Association (TEATA) including Ms. Vasumon Netkijcharoen, President of Thai Ecotourism And Adventure Travel Association (TEATA), Mr. Nantapol Khaimuk, Vice President of the Association, and Ms. Vannut Boonprasert, Secretary General of the Association.
The objective of this academic MoU is to support the development of curricula related to tourism industry regarding the needs of tourism and hospitality career market. Both counterparts will provide lecturers to grow and exchange academic and industrial knowledge through case studies, support students’ internship, integrate learning with real work, and provide cooperative education. The students will develop their knowledge and skills while receiving systematic and continuous vocational trainings.
Dusit Thani College and TEATA envision that this collaboration will contribute to a sustainable ecosystem in Thailand’s hospitality industry careers.
