Ms. Zhanna Spitsyna, Dusit Thani College’s 4th year student of Professional Culinary Arts International Program, has recently participated in an event of PATA Thailand Chapter co-created with Bangkok University under the name Fast Forward Your Career in Tourism.
In this event, there was a seminar where many experts in tourism and hospitality industry attended on stage such as Khun Ratchadet Suksin, Head of Operations Product & Service Academy at Central Department Store, Khun Watcharee Churugsa, Assistant Director-General of Dasta Thailand, Dr. Pinnaree Tea-makorn, Lecturer & AI Strategist at Sasin School of Management, David Barrett, MICE Guru at DBC & Partner Ltd., Eunkyu Chun, Youth Ambassador & Membership Executive at Pacific Asia Travel Association, and Phyu May Thwin, Vice President of the Bangkok University Student Chapter. The session was full of ideas and inspirations beneficial for the tourism industry.
On this occasion, Ms. Zhanna Spitsyna had a chance to express her opinion in this seminar and speak her words of gratitude that the Fast Forward Your Career in Tourism event was an invaluable experience for her since she had received much knowledge from the industry experts who joined on stage. The speakers shared the changing landscapes of tourism industry as well as sustainable tourism insights which emphasized the necessity of cultural heritage preservation as national identities.
“The impressive moment is that I am a representative of Dusit Thani College asking and giving opinions about cultural heritage preservation during the growth of tourism and the impacts of oversea influences on local cultures”, said Ms. Zhanna Spitsyna. “In my opinion, I support the idea of Mr. Eunkyuk Chun as a Youth Ambassador who focuses on the roles and attempts on this topic. I am also pro the concept of Ms. Phyu May Thwin who highlights the importance of student participation in directing tourism future and encouragement to do so. Therefore, this event has created accessible and dynamic conversations necessary for investors who seek sustainable growth under cultural delicacy of the tourism industry. The seminar is not only informative, but also inspiring and reminding us to create balances between adaptation to the new world era and protection of our cultural identities.”
Even Ms. Zhanna Spitsyna was the only student from Dusit Thani College who attended this seminar, the College, as a leading educational institution specialized in hospitality business under Dusit International, wishes that she will be a representative to share knowledge about cultural heritage preservation from this extracurricular activity to their fellows.
