Recently, Dusit Thani College, a leading educational institution specialized in hospitality business under Dusit International, led by the Rector Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn together with the executives including Asst. Prof. Wacharakorn Mayuree, Vice Rector – Research and Innovation Affairs, Dr. Siripong Rugmai, Director – Research and Innovation Center, Khun Pichaya Noranitiphadungkarn, Director – International and Alumni Relations, and Asst. Prof. Myla Medrano Loreto welcomed the executives of Lyceum of the Philippines University, the Philippines, including Dr. Princess Elisha Abad Supervisor, Center for Global Engagement, who represented Dr. Abram Emmanuel R. Peralta, Executive Dean, CITHM LPU-Laguna, on the occasion of signing an MoU together at Dusit Thani College Bangkok.
The signing of the MoU shows the commitment to jointly develop the academic and educational work of the two institutions. The focus is on long-term research collaboration under the objectives to kick off collaborated research initiations including project development, publication, presentation, and seeking for external research funding opportunities in the fields of bilateral academic interests, to share best practices for research methods, innovations, and academic works, and to develop as well as implement research projects to solve contemporary problems in related disciplines.
Dusit Thani College and Lyceum of the Philippines University hope that this research-oriented academic MoU will bring about the exchange of related skills, knowledge, and experiences between Thailand and the Philippines. This will help raise the standard of research so that the results can be used in the development of the tourism and service industries of both countries in the future.
