On March 22, 2025, members of the Planter Club at Dusit Thani College embarked on a hands-on learning trip to Greenville Farm Café, located in Bang Kra Chet Subdistrict, Bang Khla District, Chachoengsao Province. The visit provided a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of organic agriculture through a modern Smart Farm IoT system that supports the Farm to Table concept. The experience also included a tour of a closed-system livestock farm and an on-site restaurant that serves produce directly from the farm.
In the morning, students gained practical experience by mixing soil and preparing Bokashi compost. Later, they enjoyed a delicious lunch of shrimp fried rice and garden salad—prepared using vegetables they had picked, washed, and arranged themselves.
In the afternoon, students rotated through three interactive learning stations:
- Station 1: Stem propagation and rosemary planting
- Station 2: Transplanting tomato seedlings
- Station 3: Planting edible flowers
This immersive field trip not only enhanced students’ agricultural skills and environmental awareness but also contributed to the club’s success on a larger stage. The Planter Club proudly took home First Prize in Category B: Workplace Gardening (Organizations and Institutions) from the Plantable Bangkok Project, with the award presented on May 24, 2025.
