The competitive 2023 TCAC Taiwan Culinary Arts Challenge, held grandly at Taiwan’s Hsing Wu University of Science & Technology, had come to an end in the early of September. Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading hospitality education institution specialized for hotel management and culinary arts under Dusit International, has brought to-be professional chefs from Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management program to showcase their skills and compete in this challenge.

Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading hospitality education institution under the Dusit Thani Hotel Group, has annually participated in the PHIST or Phuket Hotels for Islands Sustaining Tourism event, which this year was recently held at SAii Laguna Phuket Hotel.

Another competition with high standards and recognition for the expertise of all champions is Thailand’s International Culinary Cup or TICC, arranged by Informa and Thailand Chefs Association. This year’s TICC 2023, the 29th of this event, was held at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center during 23-26 August 2023.

In the “48th Thailand National Games”, Mr. Phuttabut Petsunthad, a third year student of Dusit Thani College, an outstanding educational institution in hospitality education under Dusit International, from Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management Program, was selected to represent a softball athlete and join the team under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Dusit Thani College’s Vice Rector of Student Affairs Dr. Praweena Kasai has recently welcomed the directors and teachers of Sarasas Witaed Ratchaphruek School and Sarasas Witaed Samutsongkhram School. The 2 schools visited Dusit Thani College to sign “an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)” between Dusit Thani College and Sarasas Witaed Ratchaphruek School, led by the school Director Ajarn Sunee Suansri, and between Dusit Thani College and Sarasas Witaed Samutsongkhram School, led by the school Director Ajarn Atchara Moungdee. The ceremony was participated and witnessed by the directors of Dusit Thani College and the 2 schools which ensured the collaboration to establish classes for high school students. After the ceremony, the directors and teachers joined a campus tour and a luncheon at Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel Bangkok before going back to the schools.

Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Vice Rector of Academic and Faculty Affairs of Dusit Thani College, and Zeph Norrish, Acting Director of Dusit Thani College Pattaya City Center, have recently welcomed the directors and teachers from Srisuvit School to Dusit Thani College Pattaya City Center on the occasion of signing “an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)” between Dusit Thani College and Srisuvit School. Srisuvit School, led by the school Director Ms. Pattamaporn Fakroek, together with the Board of Director are willing to collaborate in order to establish classes for high school students.

For an educational institution, it is important not only to play the role in educating and sharpening the learners, but also to allow the students to implement those knowledge and skills in their work. Therefore, one of the measures that an educational institution can use to evaluate its success is the successes of alumni in their work.

During this year’s summer session, aspiring students who intend to join the international programs had an opportunity to actively participate in several co-curricular activities under Dusit Thani College’s Pathway Program to enhance their classroom learning experience and socialize for cultural exchange.

Dusit Thani College students are constantly winning awards from many stages and competitions. Lately, 2 Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management Program students of Dusit Thani College Pattaya Campus have seized the winner prize from the stage of Gourmet & Cuisine Young Chef 2023, underlining the leadership in Thailand’s culinary education of Dusit Thani College.

Here comes the DTC Freshman Camp 2023 or a carefree new friend meeting activity that Student Sports and Activities Unit under Student Development Center, Department of Student Affairs of Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s leading higher education specialized in hospitality industry under Dusit International, has brought freshmen to a 2-day-and-1-night camp at The Pine Resort Pathum Thani this year.

The population of Muslims around the world has now exceeded 1,565 million or as large as a quarter of the world population. Pew Research Center, a significant research center in the US which specializes in collecting public opinions on sociology and religious topics, has anticipated that the number of Muslims worldwide will reach 2,200 million people within 2030. Currently, there are 49 countries that have Muslims as the major population, implying that they account for a big number in the world’s population. There is no surprise why each country designs more Muslim-friendly tourism elements following their needs and the behaviors, especially in accordance with Muslims’ strict obligations and restricted food.

Dr. Praweena Kasai, Vice Rector of Student Affairs, and Ms. Pichaya Noranitiphadungkarn, Director of Industry and International Relations, have recently represent Dusit Thani College at “an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)” signing between Dusit Thani College and Saint Joseph Thiphawan School. They were welcomed by Ajarn Sai-arun Pewkliang, Director of Saint Joseph Thiphawan School, Ajarn Waranya Jitsanoh, Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, and Ajarn Tanyarat Chotiyapiwat from the Unit of Guidance, who were the counterpart’s representatives in MoU signing.
