This was not the first time Dusit Thani College organized this kind of competition. Back in 2023, the college held the DTC Young Chef Challenge, which earned great success. Building on that achievement, this year’s competition expanded beyond cooking to hospitality-related skills such as table setting and beverage mixing. The event was divided into four competition types within two categories: Culinary Arts – Western Cuisine and Bakery / Hotel Management – Beverage Mixing and Table Setting. Each team must consist of 7–10 students.
“The purpose of this competition is not victory—it is participation,” said Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, during the award ceremony held at Srinakharin Hall. “Just like in life, success is not only about achievements but also effort and intention. Cooking is not just about being a chef; it involves thinking, planning, designing recipes, calculating, and learning every step in the process. A chef needs a wide range of skills. We hope this competition provides a valuable experience to all student contestants—today and in the future.”
Before the finals, the college hosted workshops led by expert faculty members, covering all competition categories: beverage mixing, table setting, Western cuisine (appetizer and main course), and bakery. These sessions offered knowledge, techniques, and skills that proved highly beneficial for the final round.
