Dusit Thani College, Thailand’s premier higher education under Dusit International, has been recognized as one of the most outstanding culinary schools in Thailand for over 30 years and has gained both national and international acknowledgement.
With these experience and long reputation, the college was trusted by Thailand Chefs Association and 2 instructors – Ajarn Nathinee Chiralaksanakul and Ajarn Napat Sriwarom – have recently been invited to join Global Chef Challenge 2024 as pastry trainers for the delegate competitor of Asia Ms. Phattanant Thongthong and her assistant Mr. Chayutpong Senpanich, who was an alumnus and a part of bakery competition team at Dusit Thani College. The competition was held in Singapore while the team from Thailand was supported travel fees by Thailand Chefs Association and accommodation fees by World Chefs.
The details of this competition are shown below:
- The competitor and the assistant must create 4 courses, 12 dishes per course
- Live Cooking competition
- Dessert menu design using 3 required ingredients which are Valrhona Chocolate Grand Cru Guanaja, Dilmah Tea, and 2 Les vergers Boiron fruits
The result showed that the team from Thailand was able to win a silver medal and ranked the 7th position among 16 teams worldwide. Moreover, the team also achieved the Best Use of Dilmah Tea award for their dessert dish, demonstrating their exceptional skills as trusted by Thailand Chefs Association.
