From May 27 to 31, 2025, the Department of International Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse, Germany, hosted THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. Recognized as one of Asia’s largest and most prominent international food and beverage trade fairs, this annual event is highly anticipated not only by food industry professionals across Thailand and Asia but also by culinary arts students nationwide. One major highlight of the event was the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge, a prestigious platform for aspiring young chefs from around the world to showcase their talents.
Naturally, Dusit Thani College—a leading institution in hospitality and culinary arts under the Dusit Thani Hotels Group—did not miss the opportunity to participate, as it does every year. In the previous year, the college earned 38 awards. This year, the achievement soared even higher, setting a new record with a total of 61 awards, which include: 2 Champion Trophies, 1 First Runner-Up, 8 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, 25 Bronze Medals, 9 Certificates
One standout achievement came from Ms. Pattaraporn Phoolthuayat, a student in the Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management program, who won both a gold medal with the highest score and a Champion Trophy in the Asian Rice and Noodle Challenge (Junior Chef), as well as another Champion Trophy in the Best Ultimate Junior Chef Award (Junior Chef) category. In addition, Ms. Waranan Pairakijcharoen, a fellow student from the same program, earned a silver medal and First Runner-Up in the Asian Cuisine Display Challenge (Without Tasting).
Dusit Thani College proudly commends the skill, dedication, and determination demonstrated by every member of its competition team.
