Dusit Thani College signs academic MoU with 10 leading hotels

29 October 2025

On October 28, 2025, Dusit Thani College, led by Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector, and Dr. Praweena Kasai, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Division, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration with ten leading international hotels. The participating hotels include Amari Bangkok, A’more Hotels & Resorts, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Navera Phuket – MGallery Collection, Novotel Bangkok Future Park Rangsit, Riva Arun Bangkok, Riva Surya Bangkok, and VIE Hotel Bangkok. The signing ceremony took place at Srinakarin Hall, Dusit Thani College, Bangkok.

On this occasion, Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, warmly welcomed representatives from the partner hotels and remarked:

“Dusit Thani College is recognized as the first higher education institution in Thailand operated by a private business entity—under the management of Dusit Thani Hotels and Resorts. It was founded by Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, whose visionary leadership emerged during a pivotal time when Thailand’s tourism industry was rapidly expanding. She foresaw that while the number of international visitors continued to rise, the country lacked sufficient skilled professionals to meet the growing demands of the service sector. Thus, Dusit Thani College was established to cultivate talent for the workforce. Even today, with the advancement of AI technologies, the service industry still relies not only on hands—but on heart. And that is something AI can never truly replace.”

Dr. Atthawet further emphasized that the collaboration between Dusit Thani College and the ten participating hotels marks a significant opportunity for students to explore, learn, and gain real-world experience—while contributing meaningful value to the industry.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in fostering mutual support, promotion, and knowledge exchange between academic institutions and the hospitality industry. It also opens valuable opportunities for student internships and future employment with the leading hotels. Moreover, this partnership contributes meaningfully to the advancement of the tourism industry—both at the national and international levels.
