On behalf of Thailand’s youth and Dusit Thani College, Karnchanok Chuti-angnurak (also known as Karn) from Professional Culinary Arts International Program recently made her appearance at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit & Adventure Mart 2023. Held in Pokhara, Nepal from May 30th to June 2nd, this significant event convened international thought leaders, industry influencers, and key decision-makers invested in the Asia Pacific region’s tourism industry.
As a distinguished fourth-year student from Dusit Thani College’s International Program, Karn was not just a participant but a representative. She brought her unique perspective to the gathering, reflecting the voice and interests of Thailand’s youth and her fellow college students. Her involvement in the summit underscores Dusit Thani College’s commitment to fostering global awareness and active engagement in international affairs among its students.
In addition to the PATA Annual Summit & Adventure Mart, Karn also actively participated in The PATA Youth Symposium, a special segment of the summit. The PATA Youth Symposium is a platform specifically designed to inspire and empower future leaders in the tourism industry. It invites young minds to engage with industry titans, share ideas, and learn about the latest trends shaping global tourism.
This year’s symposium focused on the unique challenges and issues that young individuals encounter in the tourism industry. This served as an exceptional platform for Karn to speak on behalf of her generation, expressing their concerns, aspirations, and solutions for the future of tourism.
The PATA Youth Symposium 2023, with its interactive discussions and captivating sessions, sought to inspire the upcoming generation of tourism leaders. By providing a forum where the voice of the youth could be heard, it aimed to contribute to the overall growth and development of the industry.
Karn’s participation in these events demonstrates her, and by extension Dusit Thani College’s, commitment to the advancement of the tourism industry. It was a unique opportunity for her to represent Thailand’s youth, engage in global dialogues, and contribute to shaping the future of tourism.
