Dusit Thani College launches 100% online MBA Program to empower next-gen hospitality leaders — learn from anywhere in the world

07 October 2025

Dusit Thani College, a leading educational institution under Dusit International, has officially launched its new program: MBA Online – Next Gen Hospitality Business Leadership. This fully online Master of Business Administration program is designed to accommodate learners from around the globe, emphasizing practical, real-world business applications. The launch event featured a panel discussion with distinguished entrepreneurs and executives from the service industry, who shared insights and experiences before concluding with a trial learning session for attendees.

Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, opened the event by stating that learning is no longer confined to the classroom—it happens through real-world practice. He explained that the MBA Online program was developed to make education accessible from anywhere in the world, requiring only an internet connection. The program focuses on flexibility and experiential learning.

Dr. Adithep Kampangseree, Director of the MBA Online Program, added that the program spans 18 months across 5 semesters. Learners may choose between a thesis track or independent study (IS). Designed specifically for online delivery, the program caters to individuals with time or location constraints, reduces travel costs, and suits the lifestyle of modern professionals seeking to enhance their capabilities while working full-time.

The panel discussion, titled “Leadership in Modern Hospitality Business Management,” featured special guests including Mr. Pichet Turongkinanon, CEO of CMO Public Company Limited and Vice President of the Event Management Association (EMA), and MrKantaporn Thanapanich, Chief Marketing Officer of Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited, operator of Kasemrad Hospital Group.

Mr. Pichet emphasized that the event business has no fixed formula, as clients constantly seek fresh and unique experiences. He noted that while execution must continuously adapt, the essence remains unchanged because events are fundamentally about human connection. Despite the pandemic prompting format changes, the core of events as gatherings persists. He predicted that hybrid events will become the industry standard, with AI serving as a precision-enhancing tool.

Mr. Thanapanich highlighted that human capital management is central to service businesses like hospitals, which rely entirely on interpersonal interaction. He likened hospital management to nurturing customer trust, requiring carefully crafted user experiences across all touchpoints—from pre-service to post-treatment. He cited Kasemrad Hospital’s pioneering role in launching “Hospitel” services during the pandemic, which led to record-breaking performance that year. This underscored the idea that rapid adaptation is a competitive edge that cannot be easily replicated.

Although the MBA Online program is delivered 100% online, it still offers learners the opportunity to meet classmates in person during the Get Together Day, held in the final week of each semester. Recognizing the importance of networking in today’s business landscape, participation in these gatherings is optional based on individual convenience.

In addition to launching the new program, Dr. Wilasinee Yonwikai, Associate Dean of the Business Administration and General Education Center and Acting Director of the MBA Program, also presented the college’s regular MBA program, which follows a hybrid learning model. It continues to offer three specialization tracks: Hospitality Business Management, Innovative Entrepreneurship, and Food Business Management. This reflects Dusit Thani College’s commitment to providing postgraduate programs that truly meet the diverse lifestyles and needs of modern learners.
