On February 7, 2026, Dusit Thani College and Dusit Thani Kyoto Hotel, in collaboration with the Japan Accommodation Industry Skills Testing Association and the All Japan Ryokan Association, organized the Japan Job Fair & Matching Event at Srinakarin Hall, Dusit Thani College, Bangkok. The event aimed to provide career guidance and recruitment opportunities for working in Japan.
The event was honored by distinguished guests including Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, former Thai Ambassador to Tokyo; Mr. Noppadol Kunviboon, former Thai Ambassador to the EU and Belgium; Siradej Donavanik, Vice President of Hotel Business Development, Dusit Thani Public Company Limited; Dr. Attawet Pruegstaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College; and Mr. Eita Tsukashima, National Chairman of the All Japan Ryokan Association Youth Division.
Mr. Siradej Donavanik remarked that three years ago, Dusit Thani Group made its debut in Japan with the opening of Dusit Thani Kyoto, and will soon expand further with a new property in Hokkaido. The group is committed to continuous development in Japan, especially in hospitality. Beyond hotel expansion, Dusit also fosters related ventures, such as The Food School Bangkok, which collaborates with Japan’s Tsuji Culinary Institute to create more opportunities for Thais to work in Japan—a market of great importance and growth.
Mr. Eita Tsukashima expressed gratitude to participants and supporters, noting that the All Japan Ryokan Association Youth Division now has over 15,000 member hotels and accommodation businesses. The association contributes to Japan’s tourism industry and policy development. With rising tourist numbers, Japan faces a shortage of skilled hospitality professionals. He hopes this event will open doors for more foreign workers, especially Thais, to join the Japanese workforce.
The fair featured more than 20 Japanese hotels, ryokans, and hospitality businesses offering one-on-one consultations with interested candidates. Sessions also included lectures on Japanese hospitality and Omotenashi culture, as well as visa and work permit information, attracting significant attendance.
This collaboration not only strengthens ties between Thailand and Japan in hospitality and tourism, and promotes employment opportunities for Thais in Japan, but also reinforces Dusit Thani College’s role as a leader in international human capital development.
