From July 4–6, 2025 the Crispy Bugs team, the sole representative from Dusit Thani College, had the opportunity to present their award-winning product at Startup Thailand League 2025 during the Startup x Innovation Thailand Expo 2025 (SITE 2025) held at Paragon Hall, 5th floor, Siam Paragon.
Crispy Bugs is a crispy edible insect snack made from “Gryllus bimaculatus,” a species of cricket locally known as “Sading”, which contains higher nutritional value than common crickets. The crickets are baked—not fried—into thin, crispy sheets, making the snack light, fun, and easy to enjoy. Each 40-gram pack provides 270 kcal, 13 grams of protein, and essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, calcium, potassium, and omega-3.
SITE 2025 brought together more than 250 startups and established businesses to explore partnerships and co-develop technology and innovation, helping propel Thai enterprises to global markets. Crispy Bugs is a prime example that student ideas can be transformed into real products, real businesses—and real impact.
