Aside from the contribution to develop holistic excellence in our students, Dusit Thani College, one of the leading private educational institution specializing in tourism and hospitality management, follows the mission of Dusit Thani Group to dedicate ourselves to the society.
There have been numbers of initiatives the college has contributed as corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, and one of them is the provision of supports to people with hearing disability. Setsatian School for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn has recently given us an honorable award from Thailand’s Ministry of Education for educational supports to the special needs students.
Ms. Treenuch Thienthong, Thailand’s Minister of Education, honorably made an opening speech in the award giving ceremony via the video clip together with Acting Sub Lt. Thanu Wongjinda, deputy secretary general of Office of the Basic Education Commission, as an award giver at the 2nd floor conference hall, Vajirarasmi Dipangkorn Building, Setsatian School for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.
The honorable awards are given to the organizations which offer helps to students with educational special needs. Dusit Thani College has signed an academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Setsatian School, along with assistance in academic supports such as academic activities, knowledge sharing for sustainable development, academic resource preparation, and so on.
“On the behalf of our college, I would like to express our gratitute on this award received. This honor shows that our students who have been through intense practices can practically use their knowledge in the real setting.” said Ajarn Chayawat Kiatkamonmarn, head of the project. “The college sees that quality education should be fundamentally accessible by all, but there might be more assistance for those who experience physical limitation. As a college, we have been supporting them to have better education for their better and more equitable future.”
In addition to the reflection of our college’s commitment to better society, the award received also raises awareness of fundamental rights access enhancement for all citizens.
